my indians
11/25/2007 11:44:58 AM

this is a short journey that i want
to share to everybody. at first i'm trying
to write story but i ended writing a series of poems.
just as about today i remember i left my indians
by the foot of the intersecting mountains for safety
from upcoming winter. i manage to locate them somewhere
in the cyberspace and whalaaa ...they're still there
so i mustered all my strength to put them together
and with all my loving heart i present to you my humble
creation. God willing i will create more for you my
everloving readers.

journey in my mind...

stealthily crawling with bow
so close to ground like glue
arm, ready to strike at the foe
from a lonesome rock, full view

from a tepee smoke rising
sweet smell pemeating
cross fingers you're waiting
for the morning; i'm coming

in your mind i'm always there
hunting buffalo as well as deer
the lovely trees along the river
wonderful time;growing up together

in the wilderness; theres no checks
wealth is measured by hunted meats
i always come back,never forget
your charms and smiles make me sweat

...welcome to the world i've been,
keep reading my friends; there are
more to come.God wiling. who do you think
that woman i'm talking about?...hehehe

md
11/25/2007 11:51:51 AM

my gift for you

one night by the riverbanks
heard a thunder strike a tree
it did't burn but broke a twig
saw a men clothe red and a wig

we followed them; they have firestick
chewing something; they always spit
they're drinking that make them loud
and stumble; buried their face in mud

their women are clothe like a tree
you can hide a deer beneath their hinee
so i pick one with flower on the chest
i want to you try; you'll look the best

...do you think i'll go back where the
red coats are?...not with my exploding arrow
or i'll barter my muskrat pellet...hehehe

md
11/25/2007 11:53:00 AM

sweet smile can...

puppy with curled tail between legs
noisy, ruggedly clothe, playful kids
blooming girls of the wilderness
giggling; came to see the lovely dress

innocent fingers touch the fine silk
smelling it thinking it's dried milk
medicine woman raised her voice; curse
to soothe her anger i give her a purse

whispering sweep the tribal land
everybody so scared to lay a hand
but when i produce a bottle of perfume
everybody, pushing each other to try it on

...hey don't drink that...that's the
tears of wild flowers.

md
11/25/2007 11:54:48 AM

can't be erase

watching ripples beneath the moon
tired, lonely sitting alone
heard gentle steps; smell of perfume
i know you're coming very soon

i felt the softness of your touch
the warmness of your loving hug
oh! my; am i missing so much
following those red coats lads

howling fox, on the ridge by the tree
owl cooing to our shadow maybe
cool breeze brush our faces as we kiss
into the night, in our mind can't be erase

...what do you think guys...keep on
reading...ooops i have to sleep.
manlakoak na sira nabuas...cheer up

md
11/25/2007 11:55:48 AM

none yet...

cold, soft slithering on my feet
leaves falling on my face; so net
cool breze, green grass still wet
monarch on your hair, while you sleep

i got up to wash my face
saw my... a mark of a kiss
dove into the river to wash away
it didn't; you really bit me

went back to tickle your feet
you kick,victoria secret; none yet
you get up; we have to look for food
in the bushes; there's plenty of fruits

...what's waiting in te bushes?...taraaa
i oversleep so i didn't wrote anything last night.

md
11/25/2007 11:56:43 AM

slipping away

birds clinging upside down
squirrels clowning all around
ferrets standing on their mound
lizards teasing on the ground

eyes lurking behind the bush
curious people we came across
picking berries; chasing goose
very peaceful; everybody knows

puffy smoke from village
means i'm being page
i haven't caught anything
besides you the whole evening

what would i say when ask
stumble on you by the tall grass
setting traps for the muskrats
"chief i have this beautiful catch"

...ngeek lagot ka;

md
11/25/2007 11:57:48 AM

headress...

lone eagle up a pine tree
wings spread, staring at me
my tribe line up the dirt road
they are so happy; i undertsood

we walk through shower of flowers
giggles,laughter,cheers and whispers
i raised my arms and bow with pride
i kow then they're on my side

in the long house the elders talk
the upcoming journey to the north
who will be left to tend for kids
and protect the village from raids

i will stay to be with you
i hope you loving it too
one thing i will be the chief
that's my dream;i surely keep

...by the way my friends the poems i'm
writing is a story of the lives of the
indians. i'm acting as the son of an
indian chief. the long house is the oval
office of today.journey to the north
is to search for new frontier because
of encroaching red coats...keep reading
please...thanks God bless you.

wish i'm hiding

burning wood lights the night
dances mimicking eagle's flight
feasting on roasted buffalo meat
we haven't discovered drinks yet
the dreamers love to jump the cliff
after chewing and eating evil leaf

hiding behind tree;sneaking kiss
is the best keep secret,i miss
now i'm sitting here watching
my people celebrating a feast
after good buffalo hunt in west
later we rest, hoping fo peace

md
11/25/2007 12:06:29 PM

beautiful eyes

it's peaceful night indeed
wake up joyful and overfeed
tommorow we hunt for big fish
broil, boil with yam and berries
we'll pick oyster, clams and eggs
we try to barter with the wigs

i would like to get one firestick
stone that bubbles to wash your feet
dust in a box that makes you sneeze
spirit in a bottle that makes you loud
hollowed stick to see far and wide
that would be tepeeful of pellets

i miss the walk by the river edge
the moonlit tryst deep in the forest
i'm always sorrounded by the braves
i'm forgetting what i'm born to live
i could call you to be in my tepee
but i'll be strip and send away

md
11/25/2007 12:07:20 PM

storm in horizon

night is so peaceful indeed
waking up contented and fed
chilly wind blowing from east
time to move;deep in the forest
gather wood, nuts and berries
hunt buffalos for hide and meat

trees are so colorful
leaves are ready to fall
to keep the ground warm
shelter crawlers from harm
when those branches become bare
birds are gone; even deers

i heard you humming a song
i haven't heard that for long
reminds me when we are all alone
teasing,laughing;beneath the moon
and you're still with me
dreaming to live in harmony

md
11/25/2007 12:08:37 PM

will be there

in the bossom of the twin peaks
cradling virgin forest so thick
nice shelter for the winter wind
perfect for the season to spend

along the thicketh a river flow
so clear you can see below
waterfall is like a white dress
cascading,bubbling; then in peace

in the belly of the mountain a cave
where we keep the horses to feed
women nurse the young, men hunt food
hope from almighty;will do us good

...i keep my indians in safe haven.
hope you picture what i'm trying to
show you. thanks and God bless.MD

path to whisper

flight of an eagle smooth
feeling i always suit
closing my eyes to dream
i could see the river's end

snow is knee deep to walk
beneath a beast cloak
and spring up to a kill
no time to say farewell

yes, my stomach is aching
i endure, give to children
i know the will soon whisper
the true path to prosper

md
12/13/2007 2:28:20 AM

be patient

cracking noise from branches
snow filled deep trenches
footsteps seldom heard
peaceful, not sight of a herd

sharp arrow heads idle
toes and fingertips tingle
smell of roasting meat rarity
teardrops more of economy

old witch blame it on anything
to save her soul from burning
i understand and you as well
be patient, boost your will

md
12/13/2007 2:37:07 AM

while we are awake

parch lips, wind blowing
teary eyes. sleep calling
embers flying hungry crying
a sword deep inside cutting

could there be a deer
yes, to wander near
the reach of my eagle's eye
before all of us soon die

cruel world on our feet
beneath is enormous wealth
only the bearded dare to take
god give us food while we are awake

ooops got to stop i'm ging to work

md
12/13/2007 12:40:21 PM

homeless like us

wind echoes through naked trees
howling fox mourn for lost lunches
squirrel pick on pine cones for seeds
as our longing for food slowly bleeds

frozen berries and fruits on the ground
have to dig into snow where they are found
some grass, tender it crush on your hand
good eating. ease hunger refresh your mind

so many turtles up the cave
i saw bearded men eat it to live
but we we can't eat a man in a house
so helpless, he is homeless like us

laden sled

searing wind echoing into the alleys
snow flying blasting stones and trees
howling fox silhouette against moon
muffling sound of hungry mourn

frozen carcasses uncovered to show
a windfall that we don’t really know
determine braves went to pick some up
they go in threes to cover wide track

embers are burning with fading hope
yearning for life saving; warm soup
heart beats barely audible to the ear
it’s getting closer to everybody’s fear

a scream not far beyond; we heard
i know that voice it’s hummingbird
couple of braves pulling a laden sled
oh! my...my God we finally get feed

md
1/1/2008 4:08:43 AM

come to lit

tepee land exploded with frenzy
screaming as loud as it could be
we dance on snow with empty bowl,
frozen ground but with happy soul

fire burst, embers flying, smell of burning
smiling faces, talking heads awakening
tom-tom drums beating, rejoicing, sending
to the whole world the food is cooking

let the braves and the children eat
elders and women eat what’s left
left over will be dried and keep
till the sun on the east come to lit

we did good i must confess
keep the children get a rest
tomorrow we’ll go to the cave
will take our horses to the lake

md
1/1/2008 4:10:11 AM

burning tree

send the braves to see the grass
watch the redcoats; avoid a clash
learn how to fish the lake on ice
a deed we always come to despise

those turtles in cave could be food
many, it could be something good
lets open one what could we find
if a flesh could be a find to dine

leaves are about to break from tree
tatangka will surely come to play
sharpened those arrows at will
we’ll have so many sleds to fill

settle your troubles before water flow
we have a lot of work; everybody know
over the river, the hills and the prairie
the bearded men started burning tree

the trader

i am glad to see my people well
smile on their faces, i could tell
smoke rising from tepee a progress
they’re burning wood that are fresh

a barking dog is an alarm to watch
a hurt braves; a visitor close enough
this time a trader looking for pelts
he got a rum, a firesticks and belts

today i’ll get exploding powder in a shell
long firesticks that i can shoot at will
with my bags of dust from last summer
i am very optimistic i could get better

trader wants me to have short firestticks
two for the price of one, could be tricks
i could give away one of my widow
for soap, salt, pants and a silk polo

short winter

mistletoes come in numbers
not a good sign for flowers
short winter for bear sleep
low water for rivers to keep

rats will multiply like bees
eat all the seeds and berries
tatangka will starve too thin
we'll be in suffering; pain

we'll hunt and dry flesh
tatangka, deers and fish
we keep the fire burning
smokehouse; sweltering
