rooftops steaming
from pouring rain
haze-gray clouds
seared by lightning
roars from a distant
muffled, humbled
strong gush of wind
leaves, trees shaking
keeping me indoor
pacing tiled floor
listening to water
flowing down gutter
glancing at sky window
i remember holes on roof
where dew pass through
i caught colds and i coughed
no more lightning strikes
everything stands still
besides water on the street
slowly flowing at knee deep
you could paddle a dingy
or raise your skirt a bit higher
don’t please, i’m watching
